Massey Truck Engineering will be commencing its annual two-week Summer Shutdown from July 29th through to August 9th.
The ‘Works Weeks’ shutdown has been a long-standing Sheffield tradition for over forty years. Historically held over the last week in July and the first of August, it was the time of the year when industrial steelworks and manufacturing businesses would close for realigning, servicing, cleaning and refurbishment.
Though Works Weeks are a lot rarer than they used to be, it is a tradition that Massey Trucks has held since its founding in the 70’s and is an opportunity not only for our staff to enjoy a well-deserved break, but for us to have a summer clean, service our equipment and complete any refurbishments ensuring our facility remains at its very best for the rest of the year and beyond.
During the two-week shutdown, the office and workshop will be closed, with a limited number of personnel on site focusing solely on maintenance during this period. We will pick up and respond to any emails and voice messages on our return on Monday 12th August.
